Any comments and suggestions on this,
my first TOAW scenario ever, are welcome. This is
version "1.03" of the scenario - I made some
OOB and briefing revisions, then on August 1 made
a tiny force revision to get rid of that "may need
more work" message, and then I needed a major overhaul
on August 5 to take care of the things I uncovered as
I learned the game.
Note that the scenario strives for historical
accuracy rather than game playability, so the Vichy
French should have no chance against a British player
who knows what he's doing. The British player should
not be careless with the navy though - getting a ship
sunk by a coastal battery can cost dearly in victory
point penalties. To emulate exactly what the British did
historically, use the navy to clear the anchorage in
front of Antsirane, then have the marine unit of 50 men
board a ship from the landing beaches and swing them around the
peninsula to land in the anchorage.
